Workshop Summary:
Meducators UK has been providing workshops with schools in the UK since 2018.
During the workshop, students will rotate around multiple stations, each of which will teach a different skill and provide them with a taster of what life is like in the healthcare profession. This is an interactive workshop so students are encouraged to participate with the clinical skills and answer questions alongside filling in work booklets which will be provided prior to the commencement of the session.
Each station is facilitated by a member of the healthcare profession, be it a doctor, dentist or medical student, and as such have been through the application process for University. We understand the competitive nature of the application process and hope to provide all students with an extra-curricular opportunity to aid their decision of pursuing careers in the healthcare field.
We would like to reiterate that our courses are not exclusively for students wanting to apply to medical, dentistry, physiotherapy or nursing school, but also for those who are intrigued in science or how healthcare professionals work in the NHS.
Participating students will receive a certificate of attendance following the workshop which can be used as a supporting document for their UCAS personal statements, CVs, portfolios or job applications in the future.
