Assembly Summary:
Motivational Mornings are accessible to all children between years 7-11, ages 11-16, and offer a fresh approach to the traditional morning assembly. Our assemblies are designed to motivate and empower children at the start of the day by creating an atmosphere of positivity and empowerment by embracing individuality and self-worth. The sessions will last for 45 minutes at the start of the day, facilitated by Freedom Foundation mentors and can delivered to number of year groups to accommodate the needs of the individual school.
Our Motivational Mornings will provide an opportunity for calmness, reflection and positive energy, for children and young people in our schools today. Our aim is to increase the emotional well-being of every young person and foster an understanding of the need for a positive outlook. With the use of powerful affirmations and songs, we aim to promote the importance of a healthy state of mind in preparation for the rest of the day. Our assemblies will educate and equip children through the promotion of self-regulation tools, increasing their resilience with various coping strategies, Motivational Morning Assemblies are the perfect start to a child’s day.
Children will be introduced to our ‘Anxiety Toolkit’ which gives them tools and techniques for coping with anxiety and in particular dealing with transition and/or exam stress. The toolkit is a takeaway that enables the child to have the abilities to deal with those moments of anxieties. These toolkits have been developed with The University of Nottingham.
Impact
Freedom Foundation has worked with Nottingham Trent University to develop our Theory of Change. All our projects are measured in various ways to lead to achieving these three main outcomes:
1. Increased confidence
2. Recognition that social media can have an affect on your mental wellbeing
3. Signposting to support services if in need of mental health services
