Let her bring to life some of the famous myths and legends that existed during this fascinating time and through drama, explore and experience life and work in ancient Greece.Discover famous myths and legends and recreate the story of King Midas. Learn about the culture of Greece, and in particular the early Olympics and compete in one of the earliest running races held in The Olympic Stadium.

Imagine stepping into a painting and discovering what’s inside… Magic Lantern has been turning classrooms into pop-up art galleries since 1994 and is the only organisation of its type in the UK. During our workshops children explore and engage with famous artworks and discover the world of art from cave paintings to Cubism, Gothic to Graffiti.

In a typical session I show the group my portfolio and demonstrate how I create characters. I introduce them to some inspiring illustrated fiction then teach them to draw a character step-by-step. I take the group through the fundamentals of character creation, then support them in creating original characters and either comic strips or picture book plans.

One of our experienced actors will arrive at your school with a pop up theatre experience. These fully interactive workshops have it all from hunting a woolly mammoth, kissing the toe of a pharaoh to being a chimney sweep.The pupils will be encouraged to participate in acting scenes from history.

Our KS1 and EYFS history workshops bring to life the subject with fully trained actors taking the children back in time to meet figures from history and take part in the events themselves. Popular workshops include: "The Titanic," "The Great Fire of London" and "Florence Nightingale."
